Mrs. Annette Hughes, LMSW, CSSW, BA is the President & Founder of Social Concepts & Development Services (SCADS). Mrs. Hughes received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Clark College, now known as Clark Atlanta University and her Master of Social Work from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.

Mrs. Hughes has received extensive training through the Dewitt Wallace Initiative, Administration for Children Services (NYC), and Georgia Department of Children and Family Services, to name a few.  She has also received certifications from Georgia Professional Standards Commission as a Certified School Social Worker, Certificate of Completion for Stepping Stones to Recovery from Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities for assisting adults who are in need of housing, Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). She received numerous continuing education credits in Social Work in New York and the State of Georgia.

She is a current member of the National Association of Social Work (NASW) and Cobb Interfaith Partnership (CIP).  Mrs. Hughes and the team understand the importance of making all the difference between an okay experience and an AMAZING one.

 

Mr. Jeffrey Hughes Sr, CAMS is the Program Director and a Certified Anger Management Specialist. Mr. Hughes received his Anger Management training and certification from High Impact Training and Counseling Inc., Atlanta, GA under the direction of Gary K. Byrd, M.Ed, MAC, CCS, CGC, CEO.

Mr. Hughes who is a retired New York City Police Sergeant is an accomplished police/security professional with twenty years of law enforcement experience. Strong supervisory and people skills in resolving problems using but not limited to the following; listening, motivating, developing, and directing individuals/teams in order to obtain the best results.

Mr. Hughes is also a Gulf War Veteran having served in the Persian Gulf Operation Desert Shield/Operation Desert Storm 1990/1991.

Mr. Hughes currently serves on the Cobb Alcohol Taskforce Youth Advisory Board and the CobbWorks Youth Council.

Dr. Wanda Heath is a Licensed Psychologist as well as School Certified Psychologist in the State Georgia.  Dr. Heath brings 25 years of experience in both the school and private settings.  She possesses expertise in the areas of developmental disabilities, learning disorders, emotional disorders in children as well as adolescents and young adults.  Dr. Heath emphasizes differential diagnosis through individual therapy as well as psychological assessment. Dr. Heath’s professional experience includes positions a certified school psychologist in Rochester City School District, New York, as well as Marietta City Schools and the Dekalb County School Districts in Georgia.

As a certified School Psychologist, Dr. Heath conducts psychological and educational assessments. In addition, she consults with administrators and teachers to optimize students’ academic and social/emotional functioning.  Dr. Heath also participates on the Crisis Intervention team.

Dr. Heath received her B.A. degree in Psychology from SUNY Brockport, New York, Her M.A. degree in School Psychology from Alfred University, New York, and her Ed.S. and Ph.D. degrees in School Psychology from Georgia State University. She established her private practice in 2005.
